New Dawn Yoga Instructors
Anna Love
Hello! My name is Anna Love. I was born and raised in the Cedar Valley and have developed a love for this area & the people in it. I graduated yoga teacher training in February 2023 after falling in love with yoga in 2022. Finding my yoga practice played a pivotal role in my quest for holistic health, fostering mental and physical well-being along the way. I love helping others find those feelings of confidence, gratitude, and peace that yoga has brought for me. Before the end of my first class at New Dawn I knew this was exactly where I was supposed to be to further my practice & teaching. Even more than teaching I love practicing alongside the New Dawn community & learning from our amazing instructors and students.
You might remember me from my little booth at the Cedar Falls Farmers Market, Love's Neighborhood Bakery, that I retired at the close of the 2023 season. Now I'm part of the team at City Builders where I help people with exterior home renovations & improvements - windows, siding, roofing, gutters, decks, doors & more. I continue to operate my other little business, Loony Balloonies and Face Painting, where I bring lots of smiles to children & adults alike in the Cedar Valley & surrounding areas.
My home is here in Cedar Falls with my husband and our trio of Italian greyhounds. I love slowing down to enjoy the simplicities of life, whether sharing a meal with friends, losing myself in an artistic project, caring for my beloved hounds, soaking in the warmth of the sun, or nurturing my yoga practice.
When Sarah came to me about acquiring New Dawn, my head said no but my heart screamed yes. This little slice of love in the Cedar Valley deserves preservation, and I am so incredibly honored Sarah trusts me to uphold New Dawn's legacy. I promise to put my heart and soul into its success. I welcome your input and suggestions with an open heart.
Sarah Beckman
It’s been 8 years since we opened our doors at New Dawn, I hit countless obstacles through the process. In fact most sane people would have walked but my heart kept calling me back and I am wildly stubborn.

Yoga and our New Dawn family has saved me again and again. Unwavering support from our community and a practice that provides the peace within me to bring into harmony the many facets of my true self. It is essential that we practice being human beings instead of humans doing.

In my class and anytime you enter the studio I want you to feel comfortable to come as you are. You will be seen, heard and valued.
I teach from my heart and a deep gratitude. We will sweat, breathe, move, laugh, maybe cry and perhaps cuss.
I am the studio momma bear and one of my many blessings is watching our beautiful and talented teachers step into their power and evolve. I believe in each of these young women wholeheartedly and invite you to come make magic with them.
Julia Andreini
Hi, friends! My name is Julia. I first fell in love with the physical practice of yoga while in high school. My upper body strength and hypermobility lent themselves to a visually impressive physical practice. Basically, I could do some really cool things with my body, but my head was still a mess. After a few big life changes and struggles after college, I came back to the practice for a different reason. Yoga helped me create the calm and happiness that seemed so out of reach for so long.
I teach because I've seen and experienced the benefits of a traditional yoga practice in my own life. I will always consider myself a student. I’ve completed Devanadi Yoga’s 235 hour and 340 hour certifications with Tanya Boigenzahn for E-RYT 500 status and have pursued subsequent trainings in Thai Yoga Bodywork, chair yoga, yin yoga, yoga nidra, anatomy, yoga history, philosophy, and functional breathing. I’m thankful to have had the experience of working with bodies of every age and ability and can meet you where you are in your practice to help you further your understanding and appreciation of yoga. I currently teach a variety of group classes, private sessions, and workshops at New Dawn and work behind the scenes on our social media and organization.
I became interested in yoga when I was the director of a fitness center in La Crosse Wisconsin circa 2004 I’m old. Our only instructor was moving and I had no one to teach so I quickly got certified and started teaching. As a no pain no gain fitness junky I was skeptical, but it became a life changing experience. Allowing myself to slow down and be quiet changed my life in so many ways. I do love incorporating strength into my classes and finding new ways to challenge my participants.

Allison Pin
Hello fellow yogis! My name is Allison Pin and I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) here in the Cedar Valley. I started my yoga journey shortly after I had a severe ankle injury in 2017, which resulted in metal implants. Once I was able to walk again after surgery, I turned to yoga and noticed a positive shift in my balance, strength, and stability. I received my 200 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) here in the Cedar Valley in the beginning of 2023.
I moved to the Cedar Valley in 2021 from Lexington, Kentucky after graduating with my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. I work full-time as an engineer now, but yoga takes up a lot of my time outside of my engineering job. Aside from my day job and yoga, I also DJ on the side as well. I was a radio DJ in college and continued my love for curating music post-grad for weddings, private events, and parties.
My style of teaching can vary; I enjoy power vinyasa flows but also enjoy slower, more intentional and thoughtful flows with deep stretching, breath work, and mediation. I believe our yoga practice is one of the best opportunities to learn the most about ourselves - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Surrendering yourself to the moment and being present will be the best way to show up. I hope to see you on the mat!
I experience Vinyasa yoga as a subtle conversation between the breath and body, observed by awareness. The conversation is guided through intentional movements connected by measured breathing to delicately reveal a spacious center. Through teaching yoga at New Dawn, I hope to share a heart-centered practice that celebrates compassion, builds strength, and shifts perspective toward connection. My classes tend to favor a slow/moderate pace with opportunity to observe several breath cycles in most postures. I invite you to breathe, move, and reflect with me.

Martin Paulin
Hello, yogis! My name is Martin! My relationship with yoga started in 2010, and I’ve never been the same since. When I practice yoga, my biggest intention is to invite in that which is spiritual and non-physical into my physical practice on the mat. I focus heavily on breath aligned movement. Let your breath be your primary teacher! I practiced in the Ashtanga yoga method for a number of years which is from where I root my teaching. I received my RYT-200 from Hothouse Yoga of Iowa City in 2019. I incorporate the Alexander Technique to help with alignment along with positive psychology to aid us in becoming aware of the unnecessary baggage onto which we’re holding. I believe in being accountable to the vibration we resonate on in our waking lives—and that self-awareness starts on the mat! Be still, tune in, awaken, let go, create with intention. When you come to my class, expect to raise your heartbeat, surrender into some juicy stretches, and to leave with thoughts upon which to reflect. Peace and love, y’all!
